My Pet AI ("we", "our", "us") operates the website mypetai.co.uk. We are a UK-based service that generates AI pet portraits using uploaded photographs.
2. Data We Collect
- Account information: Email address and authentication data (managed via Supabase Auth).
- Pet photos: Images you upload for AI generation. These are stored securely in our cloud storage.
- Generated images: AI-generated images created from your photos.
- Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- Usage data: Credit balances, generation history, and basic analytics.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve our AI pet portrait service.
- To process payments and manage your credit balance.
- To send essential service communications (e.g. payment confirmations).
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase (database & authentication) – your account and image data is stored here.
- Stripe (payments) – processes your payment securely. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Fal.ai (AI image generation) – your pet photos are sent to Fal.ai for processing. Images are processed and not retained by Fal.ai beyond the generation session.
- Vercel (hosting) – our website is hosted on Vercel.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract: Processing your data is necessary to provide the service you've paid for.
- Legitimate interest: Fraud prevention and service improvement.
- Consent: Where required, such as for optional cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your uploaded photos and generated images for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see section 7). Payment records are retained as required by UK tax law (typically 6 years).
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict processing of your data.
- Port your data to another service.
- Object to processing.
